What we do?

Within our Short Stay provision, we support children and young people who are struggling with the pressures of both school and/or life in general. We offer an individual package that can include Education, Sport and Emotional Coaching Support.

Our aim is to re-integrate young people back into their mainstream school or support transition to a more specialist long term provision eg Special School or College.

Our services can also be accessed by individuals within the community and this is delivered by our team of Emotional Coaches.

Who can use your service?

We work with children and young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties including associated behaviours; children and young people with anxiety issues that may prevent them accessing full time education.

Age range/key stages covered:

• Reception – Year 6
• Year 7 – Year 11

Areas served

Our Stop Gap provision is based in Chesterton, Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5 9QA; but we are able to work throughout Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire.

We are able to provide Transport to Stop Gap if required.

Our Emotional Coaches can also work with individuals in the young person’s home.

Are there any costs?

There is a cost for our service. Costs are dependent upon need.

How do I refer?

Referrals can be made by Schools, Academies, Social Workers, Parents.

We work with any children who may be struggling to cope for any reason.

What happens when I become an adult? 

We are able to support with any transition into college or work and we could provide a portfolio of work carried out with us.
