What to expect from B arts

You will receive a warm welcome with accessible facilities.

What is the project?

Through immersive music & storytelling, we will explore local history from the perspective of women and those excluded by society for being ‘different’ to find out, Who Is Molly Leigh?

What will happen?

Friday 10th May 4.30pm-8pm

Saturday 11th May 10-5pm

Sunday 11th May 10-6pm

Over 3 days, we will discuss the project’s themes, take part in storytelling and writing workshops, learn songs & script created by composer Francesca & lyricist Gareth, which will then be performed to an invited ‘test’ audience at the end of the weekend.

Friday 10th May

Afternoon Tea with Molly Leigh 4-8pm. 4pm Arrival. Welcome 4.30pm. Introduction to the project and the weekend. Singing session with Mary Keith. Sign up for acting or set designing/building.

Saturday 11th May

Arrival 10am. 10.30am Singing session with Mary Keith. 11.30am Storytelling & performance workshop with Jasmine Gardosi. Singing rehearsals. Acting rehearsals. Help with set designing/building. End 5pm.

Sunday 12th May

Arrival 10am. Singing/Acting sessions. Rehearsals. Showcase 4pm. Feedback & reflection. End 6pm.

Access:

The workshops are suitable for those aged 16+

The singing/choir for this project is suitable for women, non-binary and trans people.

Workshops and performances are fully accessible by anyone using a wheelchair.
