A workshop designed to support parents and carers in understanding autistic overwhelm, meltdowns and shutdowns.
Workshops run:
- Monday 24 February, 10am - 12pm
- Tuesday 4 March, 10am - 12pm
- Thursday 13 March, 7pm - 9pm
An online workshop from Midlands Autism Hub, who say
"This two hour workshop is for parent/carers of autistic children or adults, as part of an Autism Hub.
Our Understanding Overwhelm, Meltdowns and Shutdowns will cover:
• To gain an understanding of how stress and anxiety can impact autistic people
• To understand autistic burnout, meltdowns and/ or shutdowns
• To outline practical ideas to help you and the person you support
Join this workshop to meet other local parents and develop your understanding around autism. This workshop will be held on Zoom. If you prefer to not be visible or audible on screen that is fine by us. This workshop is delivered by people with lived experience of autism.
