The Crescent Pre-School Nursery Ltd
At The Crescent Pre-School Nursery we provide childcare for children aged between 6 weeks and four years 11 months of age, offering full day care and sessions in a morning and afternoon on a term time basis. It is vital to identify quickly and accurately where children and young people have SEND that requires additional support so that this can be put in place, in partnership with parents. It is through our system of observation and record keeping, an approach that is shared with parents and carers, that enables us to monitor children's needs and progress on an individual basis. The setting also has a Lead Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (Lead SENCO) that ensures the quality of the SEND support and provision in addition to a named SENCO that jointly provide support and advice to parents and practitioners with regards to SEN Support. The setting is purpose built; on one level and meet the DDA requirements with wide access doors. The childcare rooms can easily be adapted to suit specific needs and each of the three rooms plus the outdoor areas are fully accessible. The Discovery room provides for our under 2's accommodating up to 21 children, the Adventurers room provides for our children aged 2 - 4.11 years; which is a large room that accommodates for up to 40 children. The Explorers room is a specialist provision that provides support, intervention and intensive interaction for children aged 2-4.11 years with possible and diagnosed special educational needs this room accommodates up to 10 children daily. We have achieved the SHINE award (Stoke-on-Trent's Hallmark for Inclusive Learning Environments) |
