Landau Ltd (specialist provider) - Organisations

About Landau

Landau is a charity supporting young people and adults with additional needs across the West Midlands. We help individuals build skills, confidence and independence through education, training and social care, creating positive routes towards adulthood, employment and community life.

We work closely with learners and families to provide personalised support in a safe, nurturing and structured environment.

Our Education Provision (Ages 16–25, with an EHCP)

Our education provision supports young people aged 16–25 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Many of our learners are autistic and/or have learning disabilities or complex communication needs.

We offer a fully bespoke curriculum, designed around each learner’s strengths, interests and aspirations. Our aim is to help young people:

  • Continue developing key skills
  • Re‑engage with education
  • Build confidence and independence
  • Prepare for their next steps into employment, further learning or adult life

Learning at Landau is fun, engaging and meaningful, with high staff‑to‑learner ratios to ensure each young person receives the right level of individual support. Our staff are caring and patient, while also setting clear and consistent boundaries to help learners feel safe, understood and ready to progress.

Our Social Care Provision (Post‑18)

Alongside education, Landau offers a post‑16 social care provision for young adults with learning difficulties and dissabilities who need continued support beyond education.

Our social care programmes focus on:

  • Developing life skills and independence
  • Building confidence and social skills
  • Encouraging choice, creativity and personal development
  • Supporting participation in the community

Learners can take part in a wide range of practical and enjoyable activities, including:

  • Life skills
  • Horticulture
  • Catering
  • Personal development
  • Creative arts
  • Customer service
  • Hairdressing
  • Music

This provision supports young adults to explore their interests, develop everyday skills, and work towards greater independence and wellbeing in a supportive, structured setting.
