Founded as a playgroup for disabled children in 1969, we are devoted to giving children with special educational needs the best start in life and their families the support they deserve by:
We were awarded Outstanding for the fourth consecutive time at our most recent Ofsted inspection in August 2022. We support children with a variety of needs and disabilities, from conditions such as Down's syndrome and autism to children with medical requirements, or those who have no formal diagnosis but have a complex collection of needs and symptoms Our Education, Care and Development Sessions for 0-5 year-olds follow the Early Years Foundation Stage. We have high ratios of adults to children, usually 1:1 or 1:2, as we tailor our service to each child’s individual needs. Our sessions provide children with opportunities to explore and experiment through play, which includes structured group and 1:1 activities and unstructured free play. Learning through play promotes child development and it is through play that children develop their imagination and creativity. Our sessions aim to give every child with an additional need the best early support to enable them to continue their journey into education, whether that is mainstream or special.
