Welcome to Intuition School, an independent special school dedicated to providing a nurturing and holistic educational experience for young people in years 7 to 11. Our approach focuses on the overall wellbeing of each student, creating a supportive environment where young people, particularly those who may be neurodiverse or struggling with anxiety, can thrive.

We understand that every individual learns and develops differently, and we are committed to tailoring our educational and therapeutic strategies to meet the unique needs of each student. By fostering personal growth, emotional resilience, and academic achievement, we help students build confidence and prepare for a fulfilling future.

ADMISSIONS

Full School Placements:

We offer full time school placements to students in Key Stage 3 and 4 who have an EHCP. We are consulted for places through our neighbouring Local Authorities consultation process. Once consulted, we consider every student to identify if we are able to meet their needs. If we believe that we may be able to offer a place, we will invite the young person and their parent/carer into school to meet us and see our school. We will then respond to the consulting Local Authority to offer or decline a place.

Alternative Provision Placements:

In addition to our full school placements, we also offer alternative provision based at Intuition School and our sister site, the Diamond Families Farm (CIC). Students can be referred directly from Schools or through our neighbouring Local Authorities/tendering portal (Proactis).

CURRICULUM

At Intuition School, our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to be adaptive and inclusive, catering to the unique needs of each student. We offer a broad and balanced academic program that aligns with national standards (Functional Skills, ASDAN and other relevant courses/Awards), while incorporating personalised learning plans to accommodate individual strengths and challenges. For students who are neurodiverse or experience anxiety, we have a holistic approach, blending core academic subjects with creative, vocational, and therapeutic activities. This integrated model not only supports academic development but also nurtures emotional wellbeing, communication, and life skills. Our small class sizes and highly trained staff ensure that each student receives the attention and support they need to succeed both in and outside the classroom.

QUALIFICATIONS AND AWARDS 

At Intuition School, students have the opportunity to achieve a range of qualifications/awards tailored to their individual abilities and aspirations. We offer Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths (Entry Level 1,2,3 and Level 1,2), providing essential literacy and numeracy skills that are practical for everyday life and future employment. In addition, students can earn ASDAN awards in subjects like Science and PSHE. The PSHE award will focus on personal development, social skills, and life skills. These qualifications are designed to build confidence, independence, and real-world competencies, ensuring that each student is well-prepared for their next steps in education or work.
