SEND Clusters update
Working Together for SEND Support
We’re happy to share that the first meeting of our new SEND cluster pilot took place in October 2025 in the Central area. This pilot brings schools and professionals together to find quicker ways to help children with extra needs.
More than 20 schools joined the meeting. They agreed the cluster should be built on the values of Hope, Trust, and Honesty, creating a safe space for schools and professionals to work together and share ideas.
At the meeting, we looked at practical ways to improve support. For example:
- Making sensory spaces in schools to help children feel calm.
- Giving staff training and resources to support children with communication needs.
This is a small pilot, but it’s an important step to make help faster and more joined-up. Keep an eye out for more updates soon!
