Celebrating Inclusion Week With Project Indi

Nine schools, 250 children, and a week of creative workshops helped pupils and parents embrace diversity and inclusion across Stoke-on-Trent.

Project Indi brought the spirit of inclusion to life during a fantastic week of activities across nine local schools! Around 250 children took part in fun, age-appropriate workshops designed to celebrate diversity and kindness.

From “Rudolph Teaches Us About Inclusion” for younger pupils, to “Celebrating Differences with The Smeds & The Smoos” and “A Bloom Beyond the Petals” for older groups, every session encouraged children to think about what makes each of us unique—and why that’s something to celebrate.

It wasn’t just the children who got involved. Two schools hosted special SEND coffee mornings, giving parents the chance to connect, share experiences, and learn more about local support services like Aiming High.

Schools taking part included:

  • Jackfield Infant School
  • St Maria Goretti
  • St Peter’s Catholic Primary
  • St Luke’s
  • Moorpark Junior
  • Sandon Primary
  • Our Lady Catholic
  • Ormiston Horizon Academy
  • Excel Academy
