Go All In with Words: A Creative Writing Competition for Young Writers
Caudwell Children invites disabled and neurodivergent children aged 5–18 to write a short story or poem that could be published in a special book.
Caudwell Children are inviting disabled and neurodivergent children and young people aged 5-18 to share their creativity by writing a short story or poem
Their writing could be about their favourite pet, a hobby they love, a topic they’re passionate about or something wild and wonderful from their imagination.
In partnership with the National Literacy Trust and supporting the National Year of Reading 2026’s ‘Go All In’ campaign, the best entries will be included in a special published anthology that families can purchase to treasure forever.
Also, a special guest judge will help to select a winner for the best short story and a winner for the best poem who will have a special feature in the anthology.
Entries must be sent by email to LittleWriters@caudwellchildren.com no later than 30th June, and include the child’s Name, Age, City, and Disability(ies). Winners will be announced in July 2026.
This is a wonderful chance for children to let their creativity shine and see their work in print! Get writing, and GO ALL IN – Caudwell Children can’t wait to see their amazing stories and poems!
