Have Your Say: Become a Young Research Advisor
A new opportunity for young people to share their views and help shape services and support for children and young people.
What is this opportunity?
The National Children’s Bureau (NCB) is recruiting young people to join their Young Research Advisors (YRA) group.
This is an opportunity for children and young people to share their experiences and help influence research that can lead to real improvements in services, support and communities.
Who can apply?
- Young people aged 11 to 18
- Young people up to age 25 with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND)
- No previous experience is needed
Young people only need an interest in research and a willingness to share their views.
What will young people do?
Young Research Advisors will:
- Take part in online meetings (around six per year)
- Receive training in research skills from NCB staff
- Be paid for their time
There may also be opportunities to:
- Deliver presentations
- Sit on interview panels
- Take part in other activities
