Hanley St Luke’s is a Church of England Christian school part of Three Spires Trust, serving a number of schools across the Midlands. Both the trust and our academy are under the umbrella of the Church of England Diocese of Lichfield. Our Christian mission and values are at the heart of our service to this wonderful and diverse community. Hanley St Luke’s is a happy, loving and caring place to be. Our school is a large inner city primary academy providing inclusive education for our children aged 3 to 11 years. Through high-quality preschool provision, including parent and toddler sessions, we seek to ensure that your child’s educational journey allows them to flourish and thrive from the very start. We have a range of facilities to support your child throughout their primary journey including a STEM lab, a stage and Forest Schools. Our funded nursery places great value upon developing strong partnerships between home and school while supporting you, the parent, to return to work or education. Our excellent wraparound care provision further supports parents with safe and effective care at an affordable cost beyond the school day. We have a range of partnerships with other agencies including ASM Sports, The Maths Hub, Keele University, Staffordshire University, City Music, Magic Breakfast and The Ogden Trust to name a few. These links support us to deliver an aspirational curriculum where children can participate in a range of events, including sports and athletics. Our children have access to high quality performance opportunities in school and across the city, and have the chance to play a range of musical instruments. They can discover how science and technology influences the world around us and begin to understand their potential in AI and future Science, Technology, Engineering and mathematical careers. Children have access to high quality hardware and software to facilitate this. All of our children also have access to Forest School education in our outdoor area led by a specialist teaching assistant. Across all areas of education, we aim to foster a love of learning through and broad and balanced next generation curriculum, enabling children’s talents to flourish, preparing children for the next stage of their education and enhancing their lives. We take every step to engage you in your child’s educational journey, sharing success and working in partnership to support and guide your child. Our SENCO is supported by three assistant SENCOs, one in each key stage and a range of specialists, including a nurture lead, a school mental health therapist through the MHST and an autism specialist. Every child is unique, and we aim to work with you to provide the necessary support and guidance with ambitious and robust measures to maximise success and progress for all. Hanley St. Luke’s Church of England Primary Academy is a happy, engaging, and nurturing school where all staff work hard to build, sustain, and maintain positive and lasting relationships with you and your child. |
