Grocott Centre - Organisations

The Grocott Centre is a registered Charity, based in Blurton. Charity No: 1125439.

We are a community-based service, supporting adults with a learning disability aged 18+.  

Our members have access to a range of opportunities to gain transferable skills, training, and practical experience to achieve future aspirations.

As part of our employability pathway, in September 2024 we will delivering a supported internship programme within our newly opened Bistro, Willow Barns, Blurton for Adults aged 18-24, have an EHCP and wanting to gain work experience and achieve accredited training. Our internship vacancies will be open for applications in January 2024.

We also provide a day opportunities service which supports members to enhance their skills within the following topics;

• Horticulture
• Woodwork
• Multi-media and Tech 
• Textiles
• Health and fitness.
• Social Enterprises

All of our programmes incorporate Citizenship/Life Skills that support positive engagement, safety and enjoyment in the community including;

• Travel
• Community engagement
• Positive relationships
• Money Skills
• Communication 
• Confidence
