Nurturing Anchors - Organisations

Nurturing Anchors is a joint project with Kids Charity and the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.   It aims to provide free tailored support to Royal Navy and  Royal Marines Families with SEND military children to address their unique challenges, and to give a safe and supportive environment for sharing experiences, insights, and opportunities to find new strategies that work for these families.


We offer:

Workshops

Behaviour Workshop:

A 2 hour workshop giving parents/carers insights and tips on parenting neurodivergent children.

We also have pre-recorded workshops which can be found on our Navy Hub with access using a password through our colleagues.

Longer programs

Nurturing Anchors:

A ten-week course focused on enhancing your health, well-being, and understanding as a parent of a SEND child.

Riding the Rapids:

A ten-week course helping parents and carers of neurodivergent children understand and manage challenging behaviours.  (We have an online version for those unable to make the Teams sessions).

Understanding Me, Parent Carer:

A six-week course providing practical strategies to support your child's unique needs.

Understanding Me, Young Person:

A six-week course offering practical strategies to support your unique needs as a young person.

Coffee and Connect:

Drop-in sessions for parents of neurodivergent children to chat and connect with others.
