| School's extended local offer response |
CREATED College provides a specialist post-16 pathway for young people with SEND who require a more personalised, creative and vocational approach to learning. The offer is built around meaningful progression into adulthood, including independence, confidence, communication, work-related learning, employability and preparation for future training or employment. The curriculum uses digital and creative subjects to engage learners and develop transferable skills. Pathways can include video game design, esports, digital media, graphic art, cybersecurity and AI, with English, Maths and functional skills included where this forms part of the commissioned package. Support is planned around the young person's EHCP, assessed needs and intended outcomes. This may include structured routines, keyworker support, targeted adult input, partial 1:1 support where appropriate, assistive technology, preparation for adulthood activities, supported work-related learning and regular review with families, professionals and the Local Authority. Placements are considered through consultation so that the college and Local Authority can agree whether the offer is suitable, what support is required, and how the young person can access the programme safely, consistently and meaningfully. |
