Education, employment and training

University

If your young person decides to go to university, there is a wide range of support for students with SEND. Universities must make “reasonable adjustments” to help students access their education.

Examples include:

  • extra time in exams
  • specialist equipment
  • support workers or note‑takers
  • changes to accommodation or study spaces
