Super 1s inclusive cricket session - SEND-specific

Dimensions Sensory Splash session - SEND-focused

  • Friday 21 February, 7-8pm 
  • Sunday 23 February, 9-10am
  • A SEND sensory family session will be in a fun-filled environment designed to stimulate and engage different senses.

Our Space Family Session (for children aged 12 years and under - plus siblings)

• Monday 17 February: 1:30pm - 4pm
• A chance for the whole family (including siblings who do not have any additional needs) to come and use the facilities together.
• All places must be booked in advance.

Disability Multi-sports Camp (ages 12-16) - SEND-specific

  • Port Vale Football Club, Hamil Road, Stoke-on-Trent, ST6 1AW
  • Tuesday 18 February, 10am - 2pm
  • Participate in several engaging sport activities catered for those with additional needs or disabilities in the Port Vale Foundation sports' hall.
  • Strategy and teamwork exercise, fun games and activities.

Free Family Fun Day with Caudwell Children and the National Literacy Trust (all ages)

  • Caudwell Children's Centre, Innovation Way, Keele, ST5 5NT
  • Friday 21 February, 10am - 12pm, or 1pm - 3pm
  • This is a family fun day based around play, literacy and reading
  • It is a SEND-focused event that welcomes all the family.
  • There will be lots of different activities on offer including Gruffalo trail, scratch computer tech character building, sensory storyteller, magician, crafts, Stoke City FC.
  • The venue is wheelchair accessible with wheelchair-accessible toilet facilities.

Clipn'Climb SEND session

  • Unit 6, Douglas Park, Opal Way, Stone Business Park, ST15 0YJ
  • Thursday, 20 February, 5:30pm
  • Good to know: We are a family friendly climbing centre but have extra harnesses and Bag Weight support to help pull anyone up the walls if they need more support. We have staff who can support individual climbers and climb next to them if needed. We turn the music down on the SEND sessions as needed and our staff are very competent at dealing with different levels of ability  – We have supported people with physical disabilities including wheel chair users, those with sight and hearing impairments and many people with ADHD and Autism to climb..

Themed dance and drama workshops - SEND inclusive

  • Mitchell Arts Centre, Broad Street, Hanley, ST1 4HG
  • Trolls: Monday 17 February: registration 11:30am, workshop 12pm – 1:30pm
  • Sing: Tuesday 18 February: registration 11:30am, workshop 12pm – 1:30pm
  • A workshop exploring dance and drama. Young people will have chance to socialise, have fun and get creative. Perfect for budding stage stars.
  • Good to know: MAC say: “Our workshops can support those who have special educational needs and can be adapted to wheelchair users. Please let us know in advance so we can plan for it. We have sensory bags and quiet spaces, however for 1-1 support we would need a carer present and access requirements to be sent in advance (2 weeks' notice required). We may be able to support with BSL but has to be emailed in advance at education@mitchellartscentre.co.uk"

Kid for a Quid at Reaseheath Mini Zoo - SEND-inclusive

  • Reaseheath College, Nantwich, CW5 6DF
  • Saturday 15 - Sunday 23 February, 10am – 4pm
  • Kid for a Quid - every weekend in January and February, and February half term! Children £1 each with an accompanying adult/concession
  • A small zoo with animals from around the world, including meerkats, lemurs and wallabies as well as a wide selection of birds, fish and amphibians.

Meet the Animals - SEND-inclusive

  • The Unconventional Menagerie, Market Street, Longton, ST3 1BE
  • Wednesday 19 February, 1pm - 2pm
  • Meet a selection of animals from giant snakes to puppies
  • This acitivity is suitable for all, age 4+, the activitiy has sensory elements.
  • Good to know: the venue is wheelchair-accessible

Lantern making workshops with BArts and Fegg Hayes Futures  (age 10+)

  • Fegg Hayes Hub, Fegg Hayes Road, ST6 6QR

  • Friday 21 February, 11am - 3pm
  • Create willow and paper lanterns for a lantern parade on the 7th March in the area.
